Inspire a healthier, happier and motivated workforce in 2018.
Workplace Virtuathon running, cycling and triathlon challenges are great fun and can raise vital funds for your chosen charity. They’re designed to maximise employee participation, especially beginners and the less active, and encourage positive lifestyle choices that help reduce stress and increase motivation.
How it works.
A Workplace Virtual Challenge is simply an event that can be completed at any location on a given day – employees can run outside or on a treadmill, individually or in groups, they can even walk providing they complete the distance!
Select the date of your Workplace Virtuathon. Your employees register for a Virtual Runathon, Bikeathon or Triathlon challenge and are encouraged to fundraise for your chosen charity. Comprehensive beginners training and employee wellbeing is provided via the Get Event Fit app to educate, inspire and regularly motivate your employees throughout their training journey. They're then rewarded with a Virtuathon finishers medal for all their hard work.
Less active employees often lack confidence in their own physical ability and are therefore unlikely to take part in an organised physical event. Workplace Virtuathon is designed specifically to maximise employee participation, especially beginners and the less active, to benefit for your organisation, employees and partner charities.
Motivated and engaged workforce.
The Government's Department of Health advises that one in four of us will experience mental ill health at some point in our lives. Everyone knows that regular exercise is great for your physical health and fitness, but evidence also shows that being physically active is also one of the most effective ways to improve mental wellbeing.
Workplace physical activity programmes that foster a happier, healthier and more motivated team, have a positive impact on productivity, increase work attendance, reduce job stress and pave the way for greater employee retention and engagement.
Healthier and more active workplaces have been proven to be happier and more productive workforces. Research suggests that exercise can reduce absenteeism by 23.5% and staff turnover can be reduced by 16% (BUPA, 2015).
Fitter, healthier and more motivated.
Workplace Virtuathon is FREE for employees and is specifically designed to maximise employee participation, especially beginners and the inactive. We educate, inspire and regularly motivate employees to encourage them to become more physically active at their own pace to live a healthier lifestyle both in and out of the workplace – they also receive a Virtuathon finishers medal for their efforts!
"It's like having your own personal coach with you everyday!"
Maximise fundraising efforts.
Workplace Virtuathon events are a great way to educate employees on the incredible work of the charity and raise vital funds to support their cause. Additionally, our partner charities can include their marketing content within the employee training programmes to educate and engage with employees throughout their training journey – for up to 10 weeks.
Challenge training included.
Comprehensive training for beginners is included with Workplace Virtuathon to help employees of mixed physical ability better prepare for their challenge event. Workplace Virtual Runathon, Bikeathon and Triathlon training programmes, consisting of fitness training, nutrition advice, mindset education, employee wellbeing from Health@Work and daily motivation is conveniently delivered into the Get Event Fit app to guide, inspire and motivate employees everyday throughout their challenge training journey, for up to 10 weeks.
Integrated employee wellbeing.
We've collaborated with Health@Work to integrate their employee wellbeing education into the Workplace Virtuathon training programmes delivered via the Get Event Fit app. Employees are taken along a guided journey to help them understand the impact of diet, stress, mindset and physical activity on their health to encourage positive lifestyle choices, both in and out of the workplace.
